The Fire Prevention Division has programs and procedures for preventing the outbreak of fires in the community and to minimize the danger to persons and damage to property caused by fires that do occur.

This department works with one division chief and two life-safety inspectors to complete items such as:

Plan reviews including, pyrotechnics, fireworks, tent and membrane structures, fire alarm, automatic sprinklers, and new construction

New construction inspections

Fire sprinkler acceptance

Hood acceptance

Fire alarm acceptance

Periodic business inspections

Yearly fire prevention education PreK-5th
